The house “NISHRA” is located in Anand district of Gujarat, and the Client Mr. Paresh Thakkar is a civil contractor by profession who has done many notable projects and is aware of the nitty gritty details of execution, so the quality of work and expectations were high from the beginning of the project. The major constraint in the landscape development was Underground Gas line passing through the site. Hence no big trees were allowed and neither was a solid compound wall for the plot boundary.
We adopted the ZEN vocabulary for this garden as the single storied home complimented the theme. The green compound wall consists of climbers on a system of tension ropes, which could be easily removed if any maintenance work comes up. The Approach road with avenue plantation leads to the porch of the house which is amidst trees. The verandah opens on to this sprawling undulating lawns with mounds at varied heights and trailing Lantanas fill the valley as Water rivulets flowing creating a beautiful Garden.
