Astral pharmaceutical has dealings with national as well as international elite clientele. A formal dining and recreational facility was required by the company to cater to their visitors coming from US, European, and Asian markets. The idea was to create a facility that helps initiate an informal dialogue during Luncheon; and helps connecting with clients in the first meeting and possibly convert it into greater business opportunity.
We conceptualized this facility as an explicit Glass box, looking outwards on the landscape that has a colloquial seating within itself. The structure and the associated landscape outside reflect the attitude of the company, its approach to the product, product development, quality control and overall business augmentation.
We derived a form- star from the company’s product (i.e. penicillin) and its logo which was extensively used in walls, and floor of the landscape to interconnect the inside and outside. Star in smaller proportions create the RCC backdrop wall done in exposed form finished concrete. This entourage of stars in the backdrop wall gradually crawls down and scatters in the landscape and travel the entire available length of the site.
